Do you love the outdoors?
Do you love nature?
Have you ever considered birdwatching?
Come join us for a morning of birdwatching at Palo Alto Baylands, led by our Chapter President Stephanie.
As a lifelong birder (starting at 6), birdwatching has been an activity that brings me close to our natural world while also acting as a stress-relieving activity. We will learn the basics of binocular use, birdwatching skills, and identification on this fun outdoor activity.
Park at the San Francisquito Creek Trail parking lot at the corner of Embarcadero Rd and San Francisquito Creek Trail. We will walk from there around the area.
The first few minutes will be a binocular and birdwatching 101 lessons. Estimated walking will be 1-2 miles, no hills, and accessible.
Bring water, hats, sunscreen and download the Merlin bird app prior to coming. If you have binoculars, please bring them. I will have few pairs to use.
